📚Struggling Students Need the Right Kind of Help
Reading struggles are more common than many families realize.
The encouraging news is that with proper screening, structured instruction, and early support,
students can make meaningful progress.
students may be affected by dyslexia or dyslexia-related reading challenges.

Ages 5 -6
Early signs can often be identified with proper screening.
Early Help Matters
Students are more likely to make progress when support begins early.
Research-Based Instruction Works
Decades of research support structured, explicit reading intervention.
📚Reading, Spelling, Writing, and Math Should Not Feel Impossible
Many families come to us after they have already tried so many things: curriculum changes, extra practice, school support, online programs, encouragement, and other academic help, but their child is still stuck.
That does not mean your child is lazy.
That does not mean you have not done enough.
It may simply mean your child needs structured, explicit, instruction taught in a way their brain can finally understand.
You may be seeing:
✓ Slow, choppy, or exhausting reading
✓ Guessing at words instead of decoding them
✓ Spelling that does not improve, even with practice
✓ Math facts or steps that will not stick
✓ Writing assignments that lead to frustration or shutdowns
✓ Avoidance, tears, or overwhelm during schoolwork
✓ A child who says, “I’m just bad at this”
Your child does not need more pressure. They need the right kind of instruction.
Not sure where to start? We can help you decide the best next step.
Choose the Right Support
1
Dyslexia & Reading Intervention
For students who struggle with reading, spelling, decoding, fluency, or written language. Our Orton-Gillingham-influenced approach provides direct, structured, explicit, and multisensory reading and spelling intervention for students with dyslexia, suspected dyslexia, or ongoing reading difficulties.
2
1:1 Reading, Writing, & Math Support
Individualized support for students who need reading, writing, or math taught clearly, step by step, and at their pace. Our 1:1 sessions help students strengthen skills, fill gaps, build confidence, and better understand the concepts that have not fully clicked yet.
3
Live Online Writing & Math Classes
Small-group writing and math classes for students who need structured instruction, guided practice, and confidence-building support.
Our classes are live, encouraging, and designed for students who benefit from clear expectations, step-by-step teaching, and a small-group setting.
📚Not Sure Where to Start?
That is completely normal. Many families know their child is struggling, but they are not sure whether the next step should be dyslexia intervention, reading support, writing help, math support, a group class, or an assessment.
We can help you choose the best starting point.
📚Why Families Choose Brooke Finley Learning Center
Specialized instruction
Many students come to us after other approaches have not worked. We use structured, explicit instruction designed for students who need skills broken down, practiced, previewed, and mastered.
We teach for mastery
Students move forward when skills are solid, not just when a lesson is finished.
We understand students who learn differently
We support students with dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism (ASD), processing challenges, and other learning needs
Clear, step-by-step instruction
Students are taught in a way that is direct, organized, and easier to follow.
Support that builds confidence
We care about skills, but we also care about how students feel about themselves as learners.
1:1 support is month-to-month
Families are not locked into a long-term contract for 1:1 services. Support may be canceled with a 30-day written notice. Group classes have separate enrollment terms.
